Dear Santa Claus Anonymous Supporters,
When many of us think of Christmas, our thoughts turn to the love and laughter of family and the joy of giving gifts. For those less fortunate, however, it is often a time when wanting to do more for their children simply isn’t possible. A parent who is choosing between rent and heat has little left over for a bicycle or a warm winter coat under the tree.
For 92 years, Santa Claus Anonymous has stood in that gap. Every child we help is referred to us by a local non-profit, school, shelter, church, or social service agency that knows their family’s need firsthand. No child is ever asked to say thank you, and no donor is ever told exactly whose Christmas they made possible. That anonymity is by design — it is simply neighbors helping neighbors, without fanfare and without conditions.
This year, our goal is to put a smile on the faces of 10,000 children across the greater Baltimore area, providing them with the toys and clothes that turn an ordinary morning into a Christmas morning. We cannot do this alone. It’s only through the generosity of donors like you, renewed year after year, that we’re able to say yes to as many of these children as we do.
